I've noticed that if I log out of the forum and log back in (not something I always do) then the landing page is an open thread from years ago.
Hence, I believe, this is why some members are answering very old threads - because it's there in front of them and they don't notice that the thread is donkeys' years old.
How old (long) is a donkey's year?
I think I've got some knickers that are 10 or 12 years old.
I had to log in earlier and found myself in the middle of a post I'd not clicked on and wasn't interested in. to be honest I find the way this site works strange, you could be right about the ancient threads, but I think some pop up from time to time when you go to start a new thread. I've started a few threads and as soon as I've typed the title a side bar comes up with a list of previous threads on this topic and some of those are old. But I think there are some people who just like disintering ancient threads.
The first part really made me laugh our loud. Deliberate, or just my unlocked childish sense of humour? Or both!
