Hi.
Does anyone have any experience of an employer not taking reasonable adjustments seriously? I only received a response when I said that I was going to resign, 5 months after I submitted my requests. I am considering ACAS and potentially an employment tribunal.
Thank you
Hi there - I used to work in employment law. It depends what you requested and what they've rejected. Certainly, a five-month wait for a response is woeful. Did you chase that up? If you've kept all your documentation about this (emails etc.) that'll be a big help.
ACAS is a good starting point: https://www.acas.org.uk/reasonable-adjustments
You might be able to get free advice here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/
Thank you for this. I am producing a timeline, to give to ACAS. The HR department just didn't respond full stop.
