New user, already lost

I (31m) learned about this site just the other day and was recommended to look into it. I've been giving it a go, but I was never much of a visual learner and this is a lot of text to absorb. I don't really know how to make use of this space, but I am eager to make some changes in my life. Just have difficulties making them happen myself.

I guess my key problems at the moment are weight loss, forming friendships, self esteem and stress management. I feel like trying to better myself will either lead to failure, or I'll make poor choices and make my situation worse.

Any advice for how to make the most of this society?

  • Hi there - I like your username! The forum is just a discussion zone, really, people share their passions or discuss their personal battles.

I've managed to lose a huge amount of weight over the last 12 months, so can provide tips there. Managed to make some friends last year, too! Really it's just about pushing yourself a bit and trusting your ability to overcome the anxiety of it all. Failure isn't something to fear in most instances. It's all a learning experience.

Any advice for how to make the most of this society?

Chat! Provide feedback on other people's threads. Share your passions! Offer advice. Learn and enjoy. But if it isn't for you, then don't worry about it.
