Is this an autistic trait?
"complex thinking patterns"? lol, that's simply not true, apart from one ASD on a million
Perhaps Autistism is the new evolution of the human race in that we are getting younger and have complex thinking patterns etc. etc
I am a Brit , I dont smoke and have nice teeth. and I only take one alcohol drink maybe three times a year. I might even give that up too. yes good live style you have.
Yes, I believe it is. I get a lot of jealousy though.
I'm 21 but look quite young still
If I buy alcohol for my mum or smokes I get id every time lol :)
I look way younger than my peers, but that's because I am not a native British, so I never smoked, I did no drugs and I took decent care of myself. Plus, I do not have the typical black and crooked British teeth. Brits tend to age unnaturally fast past their '30
I'm 36 and sometimes still get given child tickets on the bus. I don't ask for them, the driver just assumes I'm under 16. I have to show ID to buy medication, razors, etc. I've started telling people in conversation that I'm 26, not 36. It still gets a "really? I thought you were younger" reaction but it's not so extreme.
Yeah I should take it as a compliment really, but I don’t know why, it really frustrates me! I think I have big issues with feeling a lot younger than I am, so then when people assume it too, i take it as a negative!
it’s weird how people make assumptions about other people based on appearance and then guess relationships!
That sounds like a huge compliment! Think of all the people who'd kill to look so young at 40! People always thought my mother was my grandmother!
I believe it is, yeah, cause nearly every autistic person I've encountered has said how people always say how young they look. I've had it too,a nice compliment to be honest I'm mid twenties but people say I still look about 15.
I’m 40 but still get asked for ID to buy alcohol! :)
I do- in my case I don't think it's an autistic trait though, it's a combination of genetics (I'm only 5'3 and we go grey late in my family) and the fact that I dress like I'm fifteen and want to paint my entire bedroom black.
I look young for my age but I also dress a bit younger (lot of colours and patterns). I’m also very clumsy which doesn’t help.
Mine too. My mum is in her mid eighties and still has most of her natural hair colour with hardly any grey. My grandmother didn't go grey until she was in her nineties.
yes, so I'm told. my hairdresser is in her thirties and has a load of grey hair, I have one or two at most, in my mid-fifties, she always comments on it, it runs in my family to hardly go grey ever, weird eh?
It's weird for me. I've had a big bushy beard since I was 15 (26 now).
When I was 16 and people in the city centre (those trying to sell stuff) came up to me, they said I looked older.
Now, people think I look younger even though I look about the same (beard a bit less straggly).
I look younger for my age. People ask me do you go to college? Carry ID in case.
