I am interested to know as currently having difficulties with reactions of my son to staff at school. He is autistic with ADHD and often needs to check what he has done wrong when he has been given a punishment, but comes across as rude.
What experiences do others have from their own schooling in this respect?
Any resolutions that were found would be appreciated too.
My school experience was horrific. Teachers told me I was 'behind' the other kids, but wouldn't tell me what I'd done wrong, or how to improve. I was bullied by both kids and certain teachers. I hope things have improved since the 80s.
Thank you for your reply. Things have improved in some ways, but it is interesting to see some similarity. I think there is still much for them to learn about how to help.
