Soft-close... !

We were shopping for a new tumble dryer some years ago and I came across the most awesomely finished emerald green 4 slice toaster.

I already owned a really nice Russel Hobbs toaster that was gifted to me by Borland Software some years back so after admiring the colour of the thing I was about to move on when I noticed the twin dials legended "Toast Colour" and calibrated very clearly with values between 1 and six set directly above the controls as it should be in any well engineered machine.

It's about 14 years old now, and still looks as shiny and unmarked as the day it came home with me, despite having put in at least 4 years of use as the main toaster over it's life.

 Yep! 

I was sold on the soft close... 

I'm ignoring the child lock until it becomes a problem... 

Elaborate argument: Soft close..

Pegg: I’ll take six!

I couldn't resist! I justified the cost to myself with elaborate arguments... eventually!
