First week back at work since my last breakdown in January. Was only a 3 day week but was 3 days in a row which is a lot for me, especially in a new job. Feeling very burned out today. Feeling the urge to hit myself in the head a lot which is kind of a stim of mine when Im destressed or overwhelmed. Dont really like meeting new people, especially people who, while nice, I have very little in common with
Anyway, off to sleep now, quiet weekend planned
Hi Billy87, I agree with the others, 3 days in a row is intense after returning to work. You are doing great so try not to be so hard on yourself. I can imagine that it's been quite draining and your feeling exhausted so try to get plenty of rest.
I get what you mean about working consecutively - I work fulltime and am usually whacked out by the weekend. I feel it can build up and I end up having days off because I'm so worn out. That's how it feels anyway. I find doing anything else like going out or even going on holiday stressful. It's hard to figure out how to relax I think. All I want to do is either sleep or potter if that makes sense.
I work in a library- it’s a good job but can get very busy
I've been there!
Thank you! Yes 3 days in a row is hard, I can usually only manage too. Feeling very burned out after this week. Hope you are getting through your job ok,what do you do?
Thank you! I need reminding to be kind to myself, I find it hard to remember to do. Im taking things very slow this weekend
I love that you get about 3 days in a row being hard
Take care and take it easy! I work part time but it’s 3 days in a row and it’s hard going. Very tiring. All the best.
Billy I just want you to know your post hasn't gone unread. Going back to work after being off for such a long time is always tough so be kind to yourself. You did it, you got through it. Three days in a row is quite intense after being off. Be kind to yourself and get as much rest as you can and don't feel guilty for it!!
