  • Back in 2018 when I could afford holidays, we went to Madeira. We went for a walk in the hotel gardens and bumped into a couple with huge proper cameras and dressed like explorers. They told us that the flower that they were standing by only came out at night an very rarely (I have not looked into what the flower is and how rare because I'm happy thinking it is like a once-in-a-lifetime event Joy)

    I randomly thought of this because in-retrospect the person we spoke to had some of the classic signs of autism, but obviously i don't actually know.

    We have day lilies which just bloom for the one day - exquisite flowers.
