Autism card

I carry an autism alert card in my wallet, but not the NAS one. I was selectively mute as a small child and I still get a sort of insidious feeling that I might be unable to speak coherently, even though my last real bout of mutism was when I was seven. I also think that it might be useful to indicate my autistic status, if it is doubted by anyone.

I do. I know it's just a card but it makes me feel happier knowing I've got it on me in case of emergencies. It explains about the autism well and I'm hoping if it's ever needed it will help people understand.

I do! I have personally found it really beneficial when leaving the house. 

No I don't but then I've almost never been rendered non-vocal unless I'm in my more rare extreme meltdowns, so I feel confident enough to vocally explain why I need to escape a room on my own and that I wouldn't really benefit from the autism card, at least in that way.
