Discussing my mental health and autism at work

That's a difficult one as every employer is different. Some will be fantastic others will be meh. My employer was thankfully very understanding and supportive, way better than MH team I have. 

Could you broach the subject and see what the general feeling is regarding it? That might give you an idea of what to expect.

No it's only a small company. No HR or OH staff. Not in a union as employer doesn't recognise one 

Hard one. Depends how enlightened your employer is. My boss was great. When MH services let me down, he got it. But then he's spent a career teaching kids on the spectrum.

Have you a good OH department and union to support you? They could be your best allies if your line management doesn't get it.

My boss adapted to the way I work, let me work from home and let me know I was valued.
