Hi all, I thought I'd post this to build my repertoire of comforting experiences:

  1. Visuals - Nature/Art/Seeing people in their zone creating things/Books
  2. Sounds - Nature/Music/Crinkling paper(pages turning)/Cat purring
  3. Smells - Nature (except manure)/Essential oils/Buttered toast/Citrus
  4. Tastes - Citrus/Mint/Cold water/Lindt Hazelnut dark chocolate
  5. Textures - Fake fur (Since I'm allergic to animals/marble/egyptian cotton/aromatherapy oils

I look forward to hearing others replies.

    Here's mine

    Visuals: My surroundings/countryside/the beach/the garden/forests.

    Sounds: my voice/music/rain/the ocean/birds singing.

    Smells: my perfume/hand wash/shampoo/flowers/strawberries.

    Tastes: strawberry, chocolate, ice cream, mints.

    Textures: clothing.

    interesting one

    1 Visuals-open countryside/blue sky/ fast noisey planes (my autistic obession)/animals at peace like watching my wifes horse just be a horse

    2 sounds- waves on a beach/familiar music/birds singing,/jet engines

    3 smells- baking bread/coffee (even if i dont drink it!)/ burnt jet fuel at an airport/indian food

    4. marmite/ orange juice/ indian food (I hate bland food)

    5 textures-flannelette sheets from when I was a kid, crisps, animal fur (on a laive animal of course)

    These are my examples.

    Visual - Nature, wildlife, books, pin badge collection
    Sounds - Bird song, fire, music
    Smells - Melted chocolate, freshly baked bread/cakes etc, freshly mown grass, smell just after a heavy rainfall
    Tastes - Chocolate (all types), salted caramel, anything sweet really
    Textures - fur, scales (I have snakes), soft clothing/blankets, water (bathing/shower)

    Very interesting to read the above :) 

    Here are mine,

    1. Visuals... Family members, my horses, nature, photographs.
    2. Sounds... Nature, my horses, running water, music, family talking, mum singing.
    3. Smells... Perfume, flowers, nail polish, old books, nature, freshly cut grass.
    4. Tastes... Lipstick lol Stuck out tongue closed eyes, chocolate digestive biscuits, apples, banana, mints.
    5. Textures... Soft clothes, hair, leather, horses fur, soft bears.

    1. Visuals - Attractive women (don't bite my head off its just true), the rolling yorkshire hills. Big old trees and forest flowers, running water (rivers and water features). Old victorian architecture. The illuminated lights of the city centre and its tall buildings.

    2. Sounds - Music, People speaking softly (like a story book voice)

    3. Smells - Petrol, fresh cool milk, freshly baked bread, oranges and lemons

    4. Tastes - Chocolate (milk), Ice cream, pancakes

    5. Textures - Skin (mostly my own), highly polished surfaces (ceramic tile, wood, metal, glass), good quality paper

    1. Visuals  - Animals/Bark/bread crust

    2. sounds - Thunder/Rain/sound of iron rock on iron rock/ bird song/crackling fire

    3. smells - Popcorn/ Matches after being lit/ Party poppers/

    4.  tastes - vinegar/salt/soy

    5. Textures /Soft clothing/liquid/fur
