Tough few weeks - Councilling

So I havn't been on here lately. Its been a tough couple of weeks, had a lot of meltdowns. Almost lost my marraige, have lost my best friend ( although that may turn out to be a good thing) and have had lots of stress at work and dealing with social situations.

Things are slowly improving, especially at home with my wife and in myself.

Just wanted to share really as it helps to talk to other people like me, I find socialising with NT's very draining

I have an appointment with Talking Therapies tomorrow morning, not sure if anyone has any experience of them. Are they helpful to autistic people? I'm still waiting for my official diagnosis of course

  • I find talking helps straighten things out in the mind. I'm not good at talking about problems but find an impartial stranger makes this easier.  The answers are within yourself but with talking therapies a good professional can tease these out.

I would say in relation to Tassimo, yes the answers are out there on the tinterweb, but I found you have to learn things for yourself by experience, which can happen with talking rather than just reading. However, different things work for different people.
