Think i'm autistic but corona virus stopped diagnosis and now i'm really struggling.

I can't say i'm autistic but i'm pretty certain I am. I'm an 18 year old girl and understand that autism for men and woman are very different. I have been diagnosed with ADHD. During this time of life I am finding it insanely hard to keep doing anything. I'm loosing the plot. Over reacting at most things and finding it almost impossible to be interested in anything. My boyfriend doesn't understand and isn't aware how hard i'm actually finding this all. I'm looking for somewhere to relate and somewhere were my thoughts can stop even for a second. Nothing is in place anymore and everything's different.

  • Hi, firstly don’t worry as in some ways the formal diagnosis isn’t important, what matters most is managing yourself during these difficult times. If you need someone who can at least in part relate, I’m happy to listen (well read :-p) and respond :) I won’t have all the answers but it may help to chat to someone who has an understanding , feel free to fire me a reply or a direct message :)

  • Yes I agree. A diagnosis doesnt mean you will get any help. It's usually okay you have it off you go. What are you hoping from gaining diagnosis apart from clarity?
