Since I last posted, things have moved along. Just before Easter I received a letter with four different forms. I sat down with my mum to help with the relative form.
I sent them back and a couple of weeks ago I got the letter I was half waiting for and dreading.
The upshot is I’ve been placed on the waiting list for a full assessment. However I’ve been told it can take up to a year. My therapist has said that my assessment will be local to me, so I won’t have to travel far and I’ll know the centre where it’ll take place.
Congratulations! Great to hear that you are on the right path. And sorry to hear that it will still be a long wait - it was the same with me after getting on the waiting list for the full assessment.
