Did anything good happen today? May 2018

I hope this is ok with everyone.

I thought we could share our successes no matter how small.

Any takers?

  • I went on the Isle of Wight ferry all on my own today.

I have been across with hubby very many times but never on my own before, feeling ridiculously proud of myself.

  • Well done.

    Next step, cross channel ferry?

  • On my own? No I don't think that's going to happen,

  • I still remember the first time  I travelled on the isle of Wight ferry from Southampton, with my sister and brother-in-law. With three of us I felt almost safe because they were experienced travelers who knew what to do.  My main anxiety was sea sickness and inability to swim.

A couple of years later I travelled alone on a coach holiday over the channel.  The big initial panic was the size of the ferry, the large number of people, the similar looking coaches, and the colour coded staircases and shear number of zones.  And the big panic!!!! Finding my way back to the right coach at the end.  I just couldn't remember the right staircase and I was totally alone dispite being surrounded by hundreds of people.

After 4 or 5 crossings I got used to the fact that the ferries were all organised in a similar pattern and it became relaxing with no stress.
