Does anyone know any good websites where I can design social stories or visual aids to help an autistic child understand their daily routine and what is going to happen each day? When I worked in a SEN school I remember these social stories with little drawings in red boxes on a page that explained step by step what was going to happen each day and what our daily routines are. I have a clear picture of them in my head but cant find any blank templates online where I can design something similar
If anyone knows of any websites or resources that would be great
I used to have social storys when I was younger and when I was a child to help me. my Mum used to write them for me.
then at secondary school they did social storys aswell. for me its most often in written form now but occasionally a person or another does pictures along with writing aswell. so im very familer with types of social storys. both visual and non visual. visual ones have pictures acompanyed with words that are easy to understand. non visual ones only have writing. and I went to find some templates for you. I hope these are helpful for your autistic kid.
I have found some good templates here
https://www.autismparentingmagazine.com/social-stories-for-autistic-children/
this one has a example of a routine social story aswell as other social storys. the routine one is found on the same page so you dont need to scroll through more than 2 or 3 things to find it
