Oh
Thx you so much
No harm done, so don't worry. At the time that I had responded to the post, it had read more like a statement, as all it had stated was the same as the title of the post.
Thank you. I realise this now after reading another discussions. I came back to apologise to Sporadic Sparkly for not understanding the full situation.
The person who posted this keeps changing names and I’ve been getting inbox messages from them. Not sure if they’re trolling or need serious intervention but something needs to be done.
The OP has updated/changed their question. What Sporadic Sparkly has written is in response to a much shorter question with no information at all.
A totally different context.
They’re just asking for nappy options or recommendations. It’s not rocket science. If you have nothing to offer them, just move on by. Some times people are desperate for help.
If you’re in the uk, get onto Bladder and Bowels. They can often supply you with nappies appropriate for your child’s needs. If you’re looking for something in the meantime, Aldi do a pull up style nappy, although it says 3-7? Maybes 3-8 years (I’m not exactly sure which one), my little brother and sister who are 7 (quite skinny) and 6 (quite chunky) can fit into them with no problems and it’s holding wee a lot longer than normal dry-nites.
dry-nites are no good as they’re supposed to get wet, so the child can feel hat they’re wet and will feel uncomfortable (a way of kind of forcing toilet training so they don’t feel the discomfort of wet pants/nappies). Definitely give Bladder and Bowel a go or you main health professionals can refer you in too.
Hi. If you have not done so already, try contacting your local child health service - often they have continence advisers who can offer professional advice. Your GP, social worker or school nurse would have details of whom to contact.
Hello Kc, you may find this page on Toileting helpful: https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/professional-practice/toileting.
Additionally, you may find useful information by searching the online community pages. You can do so by clicking on the magnifying glass you see on the top right of the page. I have found this thread, which is a bit old, but may still contain some helpful information: https://community.autism.org.uk/f/parents-and-carers/339/free-nappies-for-children-with-autism.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,

Apologies for my bluntness, but I notice that you have posted links to this elsewhere in the forums. If people aren't responding, then it's likely to be because you haven't provided enough information for them to understand the issue you require help with, or because the issue is one that they lack knowledge of and therefore cannot help with.
If you're seeking advice, it can sometimes take time to receive a response.
