Welcome to the forum, other members will probably have loads of helpful advice for you, but check out the pages on family life they have loads of information that can help as well as links to resources
I think the link for the parent to parent service is also on there. As for education for you nas has several training courses available if it's finding education techniques to work with your daughter there is info here
You may also like to look at the communication pages as these can be really helpful
You should also be able to contact the place that diagnosed your daughter as I think it is fairly common for people to have questions and be completely thrown at the time.
This forum and it's members have provided me with so much help and advice for my daughter.
Anyway I know it seems daunting as there is so much information out there but you are obviously a loving mother and that can mean everything to your child.
Hello and welcome to the forum.
The following page has a lot of information pertinent to your enquiry. https://www.autism.org.uk/about/family-life.aspx
This blog is written by a UK Mum of autistic twins. If there is an autism group local to you, it may be an idea to contact them. They may be able to put you in touch with other parents. Talking to other parents of autistic children will at least give you some sort of support network. All the best, Graham.
Hi we are in the same situation as you are daughter who is 3 has been told by the paediatrician that he thinks she is autistic but could be a full year before we get a full diagnosis but they are hoping things might improve I have spoken to school and am seeing special needs coordinator after Easter
Thanks for the advice, have found some great tips and ideas for where to go next! Have been told quite abit now that all she needs from me is love, ive learned that she's happy no matter what so im one very happy mum
Thanku, ive reached out to a local group so hopefully will hear from them soon!
I looked through the blog, she's an inspiration! Will keep following!
Hopefully it doesn't take a year! It can be stressful just waiting when deep down you know, but you'll get there it's a good thing the school's aware of it all, don't know what i would of done without the support worker from ours!
Keep me posted on how it goes
All the best x
