Have you begun Christmas prep? (C*****mas for those who dislike this holiday)

[Please if you don't enjoy Christmas, do not respond to this thread - I want to keep it joyous for those who do!].

Anyone started preparing for Ch****mas? Last week I made mincemeat. This week is apricot chutney, and next caramalized onion chutney. One item a week works nicely, finishing on Ch****mas eve with sausage rolls. It's more manageable within the weekly budget I set myself and a nice tracker as the weeks go forward. How do you plan your eats? Any new ideas? What are your favourites for this holiday especially things you only make, or buy, at this time of year?

  • I’m confused by who you are seeking replies from. The title seems to be seeking those who dislike Christmas, but the words in bold are requesting they stay away.

    Would you please clarify?

  • As in my description, for those who love Christmas and looking forward to it.

The 'Ch****mas' is in order not to offend those seeing the thread title, also those who are curious and open the thread but hopefully follow my request header statement.

  • I’m even more confused now. No matter how I read your OP and your reply here, I can’t get the title to mean anything other than it’s a post for people who like and for those who dislike Christmas.

I think you are starring out Christmas for those who aren’t Christians? If I’m incorrect sorry. I’m not sure obliteration of letters would be helpful?  I just want to understand as I’m beginning to think my mind has gone astray.

  • Thank you for clarifying the starred out text.

I have seen the term ‘holiday’ used as a substitute. I call celebrations and occasions marked by all religious faiths what they are. Christmas, Eid, Ross Hashanah, Imbolc etc.

I haven’t made any plans for Christmas. I will decide what to eat and buy nearer the time.

    Enjoy your preparationsBlush
