9 minutes of thrilling footie - excellent watch, even for non sports lovers!!

BBC issued this 9 minute highlights' video of England v France. 10 goals! I urge you to watch, even if you are not a sports lover. France was a sporting team - unlike Argentina with their arguments, pushing and shirt-pulling. I loved it when French players helped English players to their feet, after accidental bad tackles.

    For the same reason you wouldn't like, I assume, people to respond to your posts about Fearn or your DNA results by saying they didn't like dogs or dna testing. When you post about these things you are sharing an experience - not inviting people to criticise your experience.

    I wanted to share the BBC video demonstrating the skills and manoevres that went into the goals for interested people, saying others might like to see it too. I wasn't inviting criticism [of sport, or negativity about sportspeople] on this thread - it wasn't meant to be a discussion. I know your views on sport having seen them a lot - but it wasn't views like yours I was seeking on this occasion. Sorry, but I did feel quite down about it.

    I'm not trying to dis your interests and pleasures, just saying that its something I don't share and nor do I understand why I should be proud of England, it dosen't make me feel like I belong or anything else positive, I find it scary to have all these flags around and people getting so worked up about it, the domination of tv schedules.

    Its something I've posted about before and I really don't understand why it should be a source of pride, it's nothing to do with interest, it's that I really don't understand and I don't feel it.
