I didn't know where to put this thread

It could well have been in the mental health and well being box. I finally bit the bullet at the weekend and bought some ear loops, they arrived today and are going back as soon as possible. The instructions make no sense, then when I finally did manage to work out what to do, with the help of AI, they don't fit, the little silicon thingies that are supposed to fit in your ear, don't they're either way to small or way to big. Apparently like many women I have the wrong shaped ear canals, mine are probably more oval than round, I can't say I've ever tried looking down my own ear holes to find out. So I decided to send them back, no can do, although they've emailed me with all sorts of updates including one to tell me they'd been delivered, (no sh1t Sherlock, I'd never have guessed), they have no record of thier arrival and until thier systems are updated they can't issue me with any returns information for "a few days". Funny how they can always take your money within seconds?

This sort of thing drives me mad and being given the brush off by a human after faffing about with a chatbot trying to get it to believe there were two reasons I wanted to return them and not one, I had steam coming out of my ears.

Like in the things that don't work and should thread, this sort of thing drives me mental, I had to buy them online as theres nowhere round here that sells them and I hate dealing with online companies, the web iste was totally crapulous kept tring to sell me a string to keep my ear buds from being lost for £40 before letting me pay for what I did want and now they won't let me send it back, no dobt in the hope that I will either lose them or forget and I get a useless gadget and they get to keep my money.

GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

  • I got my hearing aids from spec savers after going for a test they found wax in one of my ears and sent me to my GP practice to have it removed and then spec savers assessed me for the correct ones and fitted them. They even supply batteries for them. When I run low I just pop in and they give me more. I get them on the NHS.

  • Did you pay by credit card? If so, you can get help via the credit card company. Sorry, I don't know any other way. Trading Standards are useless, because you have to report things via Citizens Advice Bureau and TS are overwhelmed with cases. Sorry about your experience. I wonder if your local Boots [the chemist] can advise you - they have hearing tests as well as sight so maybe one of their experts can help.
