Way to technical for me and often these sort of jokes leave me asking why it's funny, unless one pops up somewhere like here I don't encounter them.
Memes are basically funny viral trends that usually present themselves as a joke or a humorous image or video. I recommend checking out the website "Know Your Meme" to learn more.
I really dislike country music, if it's playing in a public space I instantly turn around and leave and if it comes on telly or something I'm watching it gets turned off.
I haven't been anywhere that plays music recently, but this does seem like the sort of song that would be in all the shops
They normally play music from the early 2000s at the local shopping mall, so maybe I've got Choosin Texas to look forward to in 20 years time
It's aimed at the new Country song 'Choosin' Texas' which is all over the radio, here, in Northern Ireland; Country Music is a Religion here.
The song, in question, topped the US charts; last November.
Was it? I still don't understand what the post is about, I'm not entirely sure what a meme is either
It was a popular meme back in the 2000s based on the slogan of a beer advert.
"I don't always X, but when I do, it's Y" was the format, like "I don't always eat pancakes, but when I do, I use bacon and maple syrup" or "I don't always close my eyes in the shower, but when I do, I feel like I'm going to be attacked by a monster" etc.
I don't understand this at all, is the bloke, the beer or going to the mall the important bit?
