Recycling
Lets get honest. You do not recycle anything unless you have a glass smelting foundry tucked away under the stairs. You separate waste.
Recycling is done in factories with lots f high tech stuff where they take separated waste and process it into a finished material. Which BTW will always be a lower quality than the original, finished material.
The majority of "recyclable" materials aren't even as recyclable as advertised, anyway. Only a small percentage of it is actually used for anything
It would seem, in our Council District area, "recycled" is often actually spelt "incinerated" (aka, rather grandly: ...ERF - "Energy Recovery Facility"!).
Yeah, same! I think the advice is to squash it all together until it's at least a tennis ball sized bit before putting into the recycling bin. All the small bits in the middle wrapped in a bigger bit after it's been washed and refused a few times first.
