Recycling
Lets get honest. You do not recycle anything unless you have a glass smelting foundry tucked away under the stairs. You separate waste.
Recycling is done in factories with lots f high tech stuff where they take separated waste and process it into a finished material. Which BTW will always be a lower quality than the original, finished material.

True, but perhaps, 'recycling' would make people feel more virtuous than, 'separating waste.' It's like calling bin-men the recycling team - it adds dignity.
They've started calling sewage treatment works 'water recycling centres'. This has always annoyed me, but I suppose they are kind of recycling the water, at least.
The majority of "recyclable" materials aren't even as recyclable as advertised, anyway. Only a small percentage of it is actually used for anything
