Today's beach photo is a little different in that this part was layered & protected as part of sea defences some years ago, together with much of the coastline around this area.
They did a good job too, because they've managed to virtually stop erosion in its tracks.
I'd also point out that Holly97 selected this photo based purely on the description I gave, so if you don't like it, it isn't ALL my fault
