Following the issues of the last couple of weeks - someone suggested trying Lidl, and their take on sorbet's
Unusually, these currently come in Orange, Red Wine and Watermelon Swirl varieties and are available for a limited time only
These aren't Gluten or Dairy free, but are proudly declared to be Vegetarian under quite a long list of ingredients listed on the back (that's a relief!)
I have to say, it smells quite nice, and actually looks quite pleasant too. It does actually manage to taste of watermelon.
The price is ONLY £1.29 for 250ml which is absolutely nothing compared to the price you'd pay an ice cream seller on the street.
OK. for sheer pedantry.... 1 scoop is approx 113ml - and that would be around £3 - so this stuff is a bargain, pricewise.
