Studying links between ASD diet and behaviour

Hello! I’m a final year MSc Dietetics Student at Birmingham City University who has an interest in how diet can impact on behaviours displayed in children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My oldest child, Emmylou, has a diagnosis of ASD with a restricted diet and behavioural challenges. I am conducting a study to find if there is a link between the two. My hope is the results of this survey may contribute to research which suggests that diet therapy may help with calming challenging behaviours commonly associated with people who have ASD.

If you are the parent of a child aged between 6 and 18 years old who has a diagnosis of ASD and would like to take part, please find the link below to this survey (best to access on laptop, tablet or desktop computer).

The survey consists of three different sections; section one asking questions about your child’s medication, if appropriate; section two is a food frequency questionnaire which aims to identify the diversity of your child’s diet; section three is a behaviour questionnaire which aims to identify any typical behaviours your child might display.
