Openshot is definitely a solid choice for beginners—it’s simple and gets the job done for hobby-level projects. If you’re looking for something equally user-friendly but with a bit more flair, CapCut is worth trying out. It’s great for quick edits and has plenty of features while still being easy to learn.

I can't help, but if you are looking to learn, try Openshot.  I make stuff in that, but they aren't going to win any awards.  Just hobby level stuff.  But it's a really easy program to learn/use.  Mostly drag and drop and can be as hard or as easy as you want it.  I prefer easy.
