Ice cream in winter?

My husband keeps pestering me to eat the ice cream I bought at the end of summer. I love ice cream in summer when it is too hot as it helps me cool down. But I do not want it in winter as it makes me feel cold. I don't think it is weird at all to prefer warm things in winter and not want cold things, and vice versa in summer, but he keeps saying I am the weird one for not wanting ice cream in winter. I have tried to do a poll, no idea if it has worked!

What about you, am I alone in this?

  • Ice cream at any time of year for me, even if it does make me feel colder during the winter months. A price worth paying as I'm quite partial to ice cream, and I can always have a nice hot bath, or do myself a hot water bottle and snuggle under warm blankets if needs be.

  • I find it harder to warm up as i get older. Of course sometimes I am too hot as well! Maybe menopause will turn me into a winter ice cream eater?

The other day I went for a cycle ride and took hours before I felt properly warm. I don't think it was any colder than 2 days prior when I had warmed up just fine. Even a coffee didn't warm me up thoroughly and that usually works. That's the thing, for me it seems my strongest way to change temp is to eat or drink something hot or cold, plus holding the warm mug in my hands or cold damp cloths on the skin. Maybe I should have borrowed my husband's hot water bottle?

  • I bought one of those Zippo hand warmers that you fill up with lighter fuel - but haven’t had much success with it. It’s meant to keep warm for 12 hours but it keeps going cold after about 1 hour. Not sure what we’re doing wrong. It’s nice when it does work though.

  • When I was at uni I was hit by a 1m diameter fireball once, well half of my head was hit, so I lost all hair on one side, including eyebrows, and mustache and beard, I had to shave off remaining.

Fireball was a creation of my gaming buddy, we went to pub to drink, and he was bored, and drunk and started inhailing lighter gas,, then blew it out and lighted it up, creation exceeded everyones wildest imagination, and it wasn't stationary, It was moving in my direction and fast, while I was stupefied.
