Comfort item

I most certainly do......but frustratingly, cannot bring myself to share what it is - if I did, I might as well publish my home address, mothers maiden name and full life history here.  It is an unusual item that travels everywhere with me, at all times and (almost) in all places.  The weight, shape, texture and comfort that it affords me is instrumental to keeping me in mental balance.  Sorry to be cryptic, but I thought this writing was worth sharing even though it could be considered a mean tease in some respects.

No, I don't think so.  Bristol Uni doesn't need to pull stunts like that - it already has an established "good" reputation as a 'red brick' institution.

Was this perhaps a case of a university trying to draw attention to itself with a bogus claim?

OK - So I'm now retracting my assertion....because Bristol Uni decided to retract theirs !!!  And I quote from Wiki thus;

The University of Bristol subsequently removed a reference to Cheshire's claims from its website, referring, in a statement, to concerns about the validity of the research and stating: "This research was entirely the author's own work and is not affiliated with the University of Bristol, the School of Arts nor the Centre for Medieval Studies"

Looking at the illustrations - and while I do realise that I'm not the brightest of people - I couldn't decide if the solution might be mundane or truly exciting. Some art is more intriguing simply because it looks rough or 'primitive'.

Yes - me too.  I was disappointed on many different levels.  It had been a special interest of mine for a while.  But still has very beautiful illustrations though.

I was hoping the solution might be a bit more mysterious, fascinating and Romantic than that. Damn.

Poor reference my friend......Voynich Manuscript was "solved" a couple of years ago...it was short-hand latin / proto-Romance language.....achieved in Bristol I believe....and if memory serves me right, its a trashy female health and wellness document.

I don't think your secret is in danger of being revealed, seeing as I even find magazine word-searches as puzzling as the Voynich Manuscript.
