You got to try them.
They are nice.
Buttered bread with some crisps and it taste lovely.
Lots of carbs.

Wow! I am a vegetarian. Yukky .
Mother pride bread is nice as toast with butter. Love that.
As a child we always had ‘ Mother’s Pride’ bread, a beef and onion crisp sandwich was lush, unfortunately we could only afford Stork margarine which was hideous. I can still remember parents trying to make me have dripping on toast, every house had a fridge with a mug in it with no handle, the mug would have about an inch of animal fat on top and meat juices in the rest of it. I couldn’t even look at the mug, I still feel bilious thinking about it. A heart attack in a mug.
It seems like I am the first to reply saying no I am not a fan of crisp sandwiches! For one thing I am not a huge fan of crunchy texture, and when I do have it I prefer it to be on its own not mixed with soft, so if I have crisps, which I rarely do any more, I prefer them on their own.
For another thing I don't tend to mix carbs with carbs, one lot of carbs is enough. My Dad is the same, so it might be my upbringing, though I do not feel I have to have carbs with my protein or veg like he does. I can happily a plate of just veg, or just have an egg on its own, or some meat. Weirdly, cabs on their own is OK, so a bag of crisps doesn't have to have anything with it. Just if it does have something with it, that thing should be something other than more carbs.
A sandwich needs to be protein if it a proper lunch, or maybe jam or marmalade, but then if it is lunch it needs to have some cheese on the side for the protein. If it was just a snack, either would do, but I rarely snack, only if for some reason the usual meal time is late and I got hungry.
Ooh yes!
I wonder if anyone has ever made the link that crisps and chips are both made from potatoes, and that this might *possibly* be the reason why crisps and chips are so popular as sandwich fillings.
It certainly makes one wonder.
I don’t insist on the Sir though. Keeps me in favour with the common folk. Thanks for knighting me in the Queen Sparkly New(ish) Year Honours list?
I've done it myself with any brand of Spag Bol ready meals.
You own a CITY? No wonder people call you Sir Shard o' Van.
I think there might have briefly been a crisp sandwich cafe in my city. Yes, I own a city. Unfortunately it’s Belfast. Could be worse. At least it’s not Lisburn
Crisp sandwiches are wonderful.
Ready Salted crisp sandwiches, Salt & Vinegar crisp sandwiches, Cheese & Onion crisp sandwiches, and Prawn Cocktail crisp sandwiches.
I'm not too bothered about whether the bread is buttered, but I am rather partial to a crisp sandwich. Helps to fill the gap when I cannot muster the energy required to bung something in the microwave. I'm easily pleased and not too fussed if the crisps are supermarket own-brand or well-known brand.
