I am ! fussy.
I like vintage styles and when they are not in style I get upset at not being able to source them.
I end up with 10 pairs to see me though the times when that style goes out.
tends to come back every few years.

I consider myself quite fussy with the kind of shoes I will wear. I try to avoid wearing footwear (in public) that forces me to expose bare feet, so if I wear sandals, they have to be sandals that I can wear socks with. I'm not entirely sure why, but I have an aversion to looking at bare feet, including my own. I also won't wear footwear that creates 'toe-cleavage'.
For me, flat or very low-heeled shoes are a must, as I never quite managed to master the art of walking in heels without tripping over. Unless there's a need for me to get dressed up, I tend to be a casual dresser when I venture out, so tend to wear trainer-style shoes.
yes for me it is comfort above all. I do not care what they look like as long as they are comfortable (except if they are pink I might think twice). Plus I have joint issues and now also have insoles so that further limits what shoes I wear but even before then comfort was top priority.
I tend to need the same style of shoe a few of the same then I am happy. But I also have a few different pairs too in different styles. But would not be comfortable without my usual shoes in stock at home
I also try to stick to the same styles, because I don't particularly like change generally, but with shoes in particular I find it hard to choose them, because they often don't fit 100% until you've worn them in a bit.
I understand you want a good support.
I am like that with jumpers and cardigans can only stand to wear them a short time
I used to prefer formal shoes to trainers, but lately switched. I still wear formal shoes for work and Jewish holy days. I find it's hard to get the right level of tightness (for want of a better expression). I want my feet to feel enclosed, but not too tightly. I find by afternoon I want to take my formal shoes off, which isn't always possible.
Well if the 1950s then I get it would be okay.
It is good to mix things up.
But I do like formal shoes the best.
I think trainers are nice but not for me.
i do have a pair though
I prefer canvas shoes over trainers for my tastes though
I guess trainers with vintage fashions clashes a bit!
yes it is about comfort. I like formal shoes, I do not feel great in trainers. But I am sure you would hate my formal shoes. You have to wear what is good for you. Trainers are good support though.
Very very fussy... as a child I think I drove the shoe shop and mum crazy ... trying everything on for 3 hours, every shoe pushed and irritated somehow... then leaving without buying shoes...
Now all I wear is trainers and I just order the same pair (or the next model if the same model is no longer available) once the old ones break...
