# Daily Updates #

just a space for people can say what they have been doing today so we can keep up and in touch

  • Why bother with a take-away when you can have such Gourmet food at home Grimacing.

  • painted house today and got letter confirming pip at top rate for daughter things going well ,one less fight

  • Slept fourteen hours - from 4:15 pm to 6:15 am.

This morning, I went to town to buy Tim Horton's Medium Roast French-Press coffee at their place. From now on, I'll stick to ordering it on Amazon. The two ones ahead of me in the queue ordered so much, which increased my anxiety.

Then, I got my car washed, ordered food from a hot-food counter and bought spuds from a Farmer selling them on the side of a main road from his trailer. The road home was awkward as I wanted to avoid roadworks; filling in potholes.

I made myself dinner, just now, curry-flavoured super noodles, garden peas, tuna and mayonnaise. Saves me ordering a takeaway tonight.

This evening, I'll attend a mass for the anniversary of my gran's parents, and brother from Nottingham, and have my quiz tonight. Slight smile

  • delicious smokey bacon, avocado and poached egg on toast lunch.

That lunch is a definite win. It's all in the bread Grinning

  • I've been up all night too - accidentally ran out of the sleeping tablets - wide awake or ultra-vivid dreams.    Gave up at 2am and watched tv.

Hope you enjoy your weekend  Smiley

  • Insomnia but happy. Having a weekend away self catering in the countryside. Waiting for the sun to come up and can start the day. Good cup of tea to keep me company. Hope everyone is doing okay.

  • Oooft! Came here to lift myself, and maybe others, back up after some dark feelings emerged from other discussions.

    Hey there,

Today, I made a delicious smokey bacon, avocado and poached egg on toast lunch. It's homemade, wholemeal, multi seed bread.

In the afternoon, I started a couple of job applications.

Then I made a massive pot of chilli. Had a beer. Ate some chilli. Watched 3 episodes of Line of Duty s6 and then bed...

Couldn't sleep so... Got into the community. Got a bit maudlin.

And here I am. Can't work out how to edit a post I made. I made a silly mistake... "hitch hiker's guide to the universe"

    PAH! IT'S  G A L A X Y ! Wot a numbnuts I am Rolling eyesJoy

Although I'm embarrassed, and will berate myself for this mistake for some time to come, I'm also happy to be going to sleep with a goofy smile on my face, hoping some of you are uplifted while having a good old laugh at my expense.

    Night night lovelies.

  • Shockingly bad headache around midday - general overload. Everybody's getting a bit work-ranty. Trying to make sure I maintain a healthy distance so I don't take it all on board. I'm resting well in the evening but the days feel erratic and I'm finding it hard to focus on reading once I close off the PC. Think this might be a bit of self-protective shutdown. Still checking in with the mood chart - not as often though which can compromise my self-management. So easy to slip back into bad habits.

Watched Mr Mercedes' - show has really picked up in the second half of the first season. This may be my new go-to show (despite the grim subject matter).

  • My brother has, finally, said goodbye to our home turf. He leaves for pastures new; Derry. (but he went to Uni there, so he's used to the place) He'll turn 32 in twelve days time. I have a Harry Potter Fan-Fiction book, for him, as a birthday gift. And, my artist friend gave me self-made cards of paintings of his for me. I used one of them as a de-facto birthday card for him.

Zero sleep last night, but hanging on like a trooper. But, most importantly of all, I got my haircut and shave today. I don't know myself, as a result.

  • Hi all,

Today, I watched a video of Dr. Tony Attwood delivering a talk on Aspergers in Girls https://youtu.be/wfOHnt4PMFo

Went to the GP and had some blood drawn, blood pressure checked, and a smear test.

Also, went to the Post office to renew my driver's license.

Greek salad lunch, followed by a good nap. Then gammon, egg n chips dinner with the bf.

Finished off rewatching the last episode of Line of Duty s5, in preparation for s6.

Oh. Then I sat up in bed researching how to go about getting assessed for ASD and joined this community.

    A good day.

  • On a low ebb today. Have felt a bit disengaged with everything. Yale's mood meter puts me in the "disheartened" box.

Everything was fine today- someone agreed with me, I got some head-space to work so no overload. Took a full lunch hour (for a change).

Maybe it's because the rest of the world is getting back to normal - and I was happy with with pre-normal "normal".

  • taking my drugs to keep the pain down while working. Makes work more fun for sure Slight smile. visited a AEL garden site yesterday just to see what they do in my local area ( AEL ltd are neurodiverse / disability  employers type people )

  • They're usually meetings to decide something because it's been forgotten what was decided at the last one.

There's a general adversity to a) keeping a record of things b) if such a record does exist, taking the effort to read it

....there is, however, a tendency to quote so-and-so, unfortunately so-and-so made that particular decision several years ago, has since left and nobody can remember why it was made - only that it was.

People actually work like this and expect things not to go wrong.

  • The meeting about the meeting about the meeting. Smiley

    Bureaux are like that.

  • Got a bit ranty at work today. Fortunately teams has a mute button and I'm not in the office.

Feeling prickly, sometimes too much time is spent talking about the work instead of actually doing it.

  • Statement of Truth signed to grant probate for mum's estate; gran's probate has already been granted - granddad's probate was granted first. Now the probate for gran can be passed to Solicitors in County Monaghan to issue a grant of administration; to release the joint account nan and mum had with Bank of Ireland in Monaghan.

Then, I mowed the lawn and put the black and brown bins out. Tomorrow, I'll receive a grocery delivery from Asda and a Book from Amazon; a planned birthday gift for my brother. (5 May, he'll be 32)
