yea its standard "mind mapping" stuff --- it just a way to get them out of your head, like u said, but also so you can see them which then uses the most powerful part of your brain, the visual cortex.

I'm a funded student so my employer gets a budget to cover me for study time around the exams and essays. Today is a quiet day at work so I don't think they'll pay someone to come in and do my job but if they'd been busy there was money in a pot somewhere to do that.
I'm doing pretty much what you've recommended. I'll start adding my thoughts and see if putting them on paper gets them out of my head for a bit.

write your thought and worries and thing u need to do, down on the page each in its own bubble/cloud
next make a cup of tea/coffee
and then return and start to organise ways ( add notes in smaller bubbles ) to each cloud
add a priority to each cloud
then tackle the clouds by priority
Have today off work to study, I've been all productive writing my lists and preparing my study area but not managed to get much actual work done.
I think I'm approaching shut down, not in a desperate sort of way but my head is full of thoughts about all the changes at work and I'm missing my mum who lives in a different local authority area. My husbands mum is lovely and checks in on us but it's not the same as your own mum.
I'm going to go across to the co-op and get a pot noodle for my lunch, they're my go-to food when I'm feeling rubbish and I'm addicted to the Bombay one.

Woah, had one of my best run sessions ever. My "coach" has sussed my psychology and set up an exercise where i finally pushed my hardest. It was ace. And I def felt I could have thrashed Mr Great Guy this morning for pace, which felt good
I managed to get a battery recharge yesterday, they'd been low, but all full of zing now!

Today just got better, was supposed to see my manager today (she only works on this site once per week), she saw everyone else in the morning and then come afternoon I was in a sterile treatment room so she didn't see me after all.
I wouldn't mind but she's the one who wanted to see me today so I spent all of yesterday afternoon wondering what she wanted to talk about and going over everything I'd done for weeks in case I had made a mistake or someone complained only for her to not see me after all.
And then to put icing on the cake I went into the sterile room to set up the stuff for the procedure and that's had the furniture rearranged as well!
I honestly wonder if they're trying to mess with my head sometimes.

Slept well! Worked out with MGG, which went well, phew. Did all my work tasks. Home early. Off for a run soon. Then a quiet relaxed eve with nothing on my mind, yay!

Rubbish, that's loads to deal with esp when you're just back.
Woke up, worked out and straight after started my 3rd run through of Cobra Kai. taken a break and found here so i'm new haha hi.
Hoping soon to go out and enjoy the scenery if the water parks not too flooded later.
when i get back probably gonna just binge watch shows and play star trek online.
