Had a - supposed - day off.
My right foot isn't as sore, now. But it still needs minimal pressure.
Online mass done this evening. The places of worship reopen next weekend. I must ask my aunt-in-law to get me palms to bless; for next Sunday.
Another two points dropped, by the Bees, after a second-half no-show. I always put the scud on teams I support.
Quiz time, in an hour.
Got a fidget spinner today. I know I'm a bit late to the party, but they're good aren't they?
Had a busy day - up early to prepare my body for going out - went to a friend's to pick up a vinyl turntable - it's a 100 mile round trip test for my body - had a good chat but had to be home in time for a scheduled telephone call from MacMillan's - picked McD for lunch on the way home. Grand Mac ticks the box every time.
Finally went for the walk (which went beyond the corner shop) and I had no excuses (not enough time, too wet, too cold, didn't feel like it etc). It's easy to forget how much it revitalizes me. Blue skies, green fields and just nature. Take a drink, switch the phone off and just meander with my thoughts
Not sure how long I was gone today - just shy of two hours. Felt better for it though.
Ploughing through Baron Cohen's book and plan to finish reading Temple Grandin's/Sean Barron's book in the next couple of days.
Did the virtual spring solstice tonight with Philip Carr Gomm. I do like the ritual, meditation, even the blessings. Feeling very much more relaxed now reaching the end of the day. Again, a small nudge to reconnect with myself and community through a shared experience.
Done - Slept, Ate and Worked
To Do - Work, eat and sleep
Fairly quiet day at work and now have a week off.
Excellent nights kip. I'm reading Simon Baron-Cohen's autism/asperger syndrome - the facts (which has helped to place my lack of an earlier diagnosis in context which has diffused some of my frustration) which I'm going to finish today along with my course on managing emotions.
Nothing else planned yet, but staying off the gaming has helped. Slept really well last night and feel refreshed.
I've a bag full of Lego characters to sort through - and I'm currently surrounded by Technical Lego models - and I've just finished round 6 of my chemotherapy - I'm so sorry your hair is coming out - mine is going extremely fine and wispy. Hope you feel better..
Had mine end of Feb - I work in social housing maintenance which got me into Group 2. Brace yourself for some fairly big but short-lived side effects.
Watched Snowpiercer (after owning it for months!), did my course on uncertainty and managing emotions (pretty good) and started reading some Philip K *** (seriously forum auto-correct? it's his name!!!) for the first time as I'm rekindling my interest in science fiction. I've begun with Valis (oops! - wasn't quite what I expected!) and figured out pretty quickly it's mostly about himself.
Wonder if he'll make the same impression on me as RD Laing did when I read the self and others?
Biography on the way.
Went to Cookstown to buy a belt at Home Bargains. There was quite a queue outside, but the belt I got was £2.50, and it fits.
Then I visited my Support Bubble friend for a Chin-Wag.
Then I went on a detour home to go to one shop, for milk, and another shop, for honey produced by a local beekeeper. And I left confidential waste at my uncle's - for incineration - and went home.
Then I left more laundry, on the clothes horse, out to dry. Too good a day for those clothes to be inside.
