5 year old boy with autism put on sex offender's register for hugging a classmate

I'm sure having autism would make one's life difficult enough without being on the sex offender register for something he wouldn't even have understood.

I personally think feminism has gone too far- dishing out "sex offender" labels to 5 year old boys just isn't appropriate and won't help anyone.

  • First of all, it's really disturbing that they're labelling a five-year-old as a sex offender when they have no comprehension of what they're doing.

However, I definitely wouldn't blame this on feminism. Feminism is about equality, not about alienating boys and men (those who try to do that are not true feminists).

I just hope this little boy gets the help he needs and has this awful 'sex offender' label removed.

  • Where do you stop once you reached the equality? How do you even define equality when you can not correctly interpret the statistics?

Do those who fight for any equal rights even have a proper definition of their goal and a plan what to do when the goal is reached?

What is it about the appalling domestic violence and fatal attack statistics that you consider unable to be correctly interpreted?

Don’t those who fight for equal rights have a perfectly obvious goal?

Isn’t the right not to be battered or murdered an equal rights issue?

I don’t question the fact that there are male victims of domestic violence.

I suspect the number of unreported incidents of domestic violence far exceeds the number of false allegations made. There are no statistics for either category.

With regards to stigma: what really disappoints me is the number of autistic males who adopt the 4 Chan INCEL narrative, and are thereby complicit in their own stigmatisation. I will always argue vociferously against that narrative.

  • That's because women who commit crimes are given far more leniency than men. There are also men who have been falsely accused.

There is a lot of stigma surrounding male victims of domestic violence which makes male victims less likely to come forward.
