Following for advice if that's OK?thanks
Here's where I as audhd diagnosed ended up in the advice stakes on this oneMumma5
Would like to clarify audhd and BPD are distinct conditions, albeit with overlap. I have no personal insight to share on BPD.
"To "survive burnout phoenix-style"
means to recover and rise from it by
first prioritizing rest and self-care,
then setting realistic expectations and boundaries,
seeking support from others,
and finally reflecting on and reassessing your goals to rebuild a more balanced life that aligns with your values.
This process takes time and involves self-reflection, reconnecting with passions, and celebrating small wins to find renewed joy and meaning”
I have got as far as rebuilding a more balanced life that aligns with my values personally although I still have to make sure that I attend to the other parts otherwise I metaphorically feel the flames coming on again!
best wishes
Looking for advice? Okay!
For burnout, the best I can recommend is be kind to yourself. Give yourself some time (and it could be a long time) to recover. Don’t be afraid to tell people “no.” If you have kids (I’m guessing so from your name), remember that to a certain extent you need to take care of yourself first in order to give them the best care you can give.
For ADHD and BP, I’d highly recommend that if you haven’t already, talk to your GP about whether medication is a good idea for you. I can’t say what’s worked for me (I have ADHD), but I can say that medications can help some people with those conditions.
Hopefully that’s a good start at least lol
