Is it wrong that the news is crippling me with anxiety? I seriously can’t breathe.. it’s not even my problem
Is it wrong that the news is crippling me with anxiety? I seriously can’t breathe.. it’s not even my problem
There is an article on the BBC website about this titled "Ukraine conflict: How to help yourself, your kids, and others":
I keep remembering this old song when I watch the news these days. https://youtu.be/o3rnC712MEw
I new something big was going to happen 4 months ago I always sense big changes before they happen I never know what it Wil be just that it will be. I know if it is a bad thing or a good thing before it happens.
So when I was overwhelmed with this feeling again of knowing I told my doctor and he put me on antidepressants and I have been off work for 2 months now. The medication is being to work and I am starting to feel good and happy again. Please now I know what the big thing is because it’s happened Im not wondering what it will be.
The most important thing is that you feel happy in your life and that is more important than a job. You will always have enough money to have food clothes and somewhere to live. Let everything else sort it self out. Because when you feel good your mind is good and you will feel happy again. It takes time. But if you think is feeling sad making you happy. No so try something different that may work. Just as it has worked for me. Life is like a jigsaw puzzle all the pieces fall into place eventually. But they don’t get there on their own we have to try to make the jigsaw puzzle complete. So it means we have to do things to make a jigsaw puzzle better. Then everything falls into place.
it won’t stay in place forever but remember you have been though these feelings before with the Coronavirus and now you are worried about something new. It will pass just as it always has but we all have to ride through the storms and come out the other side into the sunshine.
have faith in your self you will get better again. Hope this helps you.
Thank you. The trouble is I have only just come back to work after 2 months being signed off with my mental health. Ive been on a managed return 3 days a week and this is only my second full week back and now all this has happened. I dont know what to do
I agree about doing my favourite things, that really helps. I just dont always have the strength to make myself do something positive
I think it would be a good idea to talk to your boss tell him you need to take some time off work, tell your boss that you feel overwhelmed by what is happening with the War. Then see if your doctor can sign you off work. Then try to take your mind off the new by doing your favourite things. Hope that helps.
I feel totally overwhelmed and terrified by the news. It has got to the point that every time I look out the window my brain convinces me I will see the glow from a nuclear explosion.
I try to avoid the news as much as possible but the trouble is I work in an office full of ex public servants who talk about it all day long and there is no escape for me. Im really struggling

far as i can tell the referendum came before any invasion, then the locals rose up, then "fighting" had occured with ukraine vs rebels which is a clear indicator of them going in to fight and shoot their own people for voting the wrong way.
Now THAT is very good thinking.
That's exactly what I tell my mate when he gets all lathered up over bits of "Conspiracy Theory / Alt Journalism"...
Also works for social media & forums...
And your thoughts are worth as much as mine on this matter..

And for that matter this guys thoughts on the matter. Although he is at least actually there...
Caution, it's a NON mainstream channel, offensive points of view are allowed to exist and tolerated on that site, some people don't like that sort of thing, which is O.K., but you should be warned it's a triggering environment)
The link appears to be a simple bloke like myself talking like I would (and do) about his situation. It looks real enough to me, (as real as any other reporting anyway) but I'll only be sure after performing more due diligence. He does also use bad words right at the end. It's as impossible to verify this stuff as it is to verify what is in the Mainstream News these days, but we DO live in an age where real people all have camera phones, and the information is out there, and the real stuff, stands out to those with any sort of functioning moral compass. You guys be the judge..
Again, entirely disanalogous. The UK parliament allowed an independence referendum, and no foreign country was involved. The UK government has the right to do this with its own territory. The UK would of course have respected Scotland's wishes either way.
The situation in the Crimea was that Russia invaded another country then ran a referendum on another country's territory. This means that the supposed referendums in Ukraine are illegitimate and not internationally recognized. The equivalent would be if France had invaded Cornwall, installed military installations and compliant local leaders, and the local leaders then called their own independence referendum without the permission of the UK government, in which they declared their wish to join France. In that situation, yes, I would indeed support military intervention in Cornwall.
Furthermore, Ukraine military forces were not sent to murder the population, that is simply misinformation. If you have evidence that happened beyond press releases from the Kremlin, please present it.
Your complete lack of knowledge of this topic, and inability to construct a logical argument, means that it is not worth my time to reply any further.
D) Countries shouldn't get to decide to invade other countries in support of independence movements they favour. Would you support France invading the UK in support of Scottish independence?
the uk allows referendums and if scotland wins we would let them leave...
ukraine had referendums for all those regions.... they voted majority to leave in those regions as they were majority russian population anyway....and ukraine refused to accept the outcome of the vote and instead sent their military to murder them... do you think it will be ok for the uk to send military to murder the scottish after they win a leave referendum?
