Hi. I'm new. I was diagnosed last month, so it's all a bit new to me though I did do heaps of research when I was waiting for my diagnosis so was pretty sure I was autistic but couldn't be 100% sure. I've found it an amazing eye opener my diagnosis and I'm so grateful to my doctor who suggested I get diagnosed. I'm a big fan of Disney, also my special interest. Frozen 2 is my favourite film.
Glad to hear that. Yeah it can answer so many questions but there's a lot to take in and work through as well. We're here for you if you need support.
I'm doing good thank you.
Generally good, thanks. Finding out I am autistic was a massive load off my mind, but there are some realities of being autistic that are tough o deal with.
How are you?
Hello thanks how are you?
You'll be ok don't worry. The assessor's are professional and very understanding so you'll be in great hands. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I love Frozen, the first and second are so good. I hope you can watch the whole film at some point. I watch them all the time :)
hi and welcome.
Hi Fantasy!
Welcome.
I am getting my assessment later this week. Very nervous.
My baby niece put on Frozen the other day and I was quite into it, but about 1/3 of the way through she wanted to play a game so I couldn't see the end. Enjoyed what I saw though!
Hello. Thank you. I feel great, happy and reassured that I now know. I'm a little anxious because there's no support and help but I'm always finding new ways to help myself. I recently applied for a typing job as writing is something I'm pretty good at and can do for hours without getting bored. So if I can get the job that will be a way my autism helps me.
Welcome to the club Fantasy/
How have you been coping with life post diagnosis? A lot of people feel resentful that it wasn't picked up before or feel a bit adrift as they are not sure what it really means for them.
