Hi. I am posting on here for advice really. I was diagnosed about a year ago with Autism. I am a single mum of two and manage my day to day life ok. I have been looking online for groups but can only find groups to support parents of Autistic children. I have been looking online to speak to Adults with high functioning Autism but can’t seem to find any. Does anyone know of any online chat groups or support groups? It’s lonely living inside my head. As much as I’m happy being me it would be nice talking to people who are wired in a similar way to me. It’s very strange being diagnosed with something associated with children at the age of 33 although we always knew I had it really and it has been a long standing Joke in my family that I was on the spectrum. Has anyone else been diagnosed later on? X
I'm the same as you. Trying to find help with autism for adults in difficult. I was only diagnosed last week and I'm 50. My life might have been so much different if I was diagnosed when I was young.
loads of people have been late diagnosed, I was. This because autism was well known in 1970/80s
