Hello - cure for Pervasive not otherwise specified Autism

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Pervasive not otherwise specified Autism about 2 years ago. I suffer from incredible amounts of anxiety and I feel different from everyone else in sixth form.

I heard there is a new drug called Balovaptan which can decrease social issues as well as stem cell therapy treatment which is being discovered (according to CNN News). Do you think there will ever be medication or even a cure for autism in the future?

  • Hi I have found a web site https://www.autismspeaks.org/ppd-nos that describes your condition. at the bottom of the Page it had

Parents of children diagnosed with PDD-NOS should pursue an Early Intervention Program (EIP) for a young child and an Individual Education Program (IEP) for a school-age child. For more information, see the Autism Speaks 100 Day Kit and IEP Guide. You are lucky You would certainly not understand anything at all if you had my son's severe autism, and not being able to comprehend Language except the most basic. So look on the Bright side. If you perceive the world differently to me it may well be to your advantage. Personally unless your specialist doctor prescribes a drug don't just take anything at all. even if recommended in an article.

Go to your GP and try to get his support for the local authority to fund an EIP, while it may not do you much good if you are already in the 6th Form, if you are going further with your education, it may well help you cope with your disability. by getting a greater understanding of how you are disadvantaged. in the general melee and getting pushed aside.

    Good luck.
