Noise reducing earbuds - not hearing your own voice

Hi,

I just bought some Loop engage earbuds to try but I can still hear most noises that irritate me and I can hear my voice really loudly in my head, as well as swallowing or other noises I make. Is this the same for others using these kind of earbuds? Any recommendations for others?

Thanks!

  • Thanks! Will give it another go.

  • I can hear my voice really loudly in my head

Your voice box is in the lower part of your throat so when you hear it, the sound will be coming internally through your body as much as through you ears. It may be impossible to block it out altogether.

If you are still hearing external sounds then as Amerantin says try different bud / tip sizes to make sure they seal in your ear.

  • I just tried the smallest size and I can't hear my own voice nearly as much, so that might be the answer. Will give them another go out in the real world, but I don't like the feeling of hearing my own voice! Thanks for the advice!

  • I find this when I wear Apple AirPods but not so much with Loops.

i have Engage and Experience loops and love them.

Have you tried using a different size of ear tips?
