A while back, a number of supermarkets and the like got behind the sunflower lanyard and probably gained some good positive publicity for doing so.
Unfortunmately it seems that they are no longer supporting people with hidden disabilities by not providing free sunflower lanyards.
2 such companies are Tesco and Sainsbury - I have been into the local stores and asked customer service without any luck.
In fact I asked at Tesco today and was told by a member of staff that they think the compnay has stopped providing them.
Aparently there have been other customers enquiring in the past couple of months, so the customer service manager requested / ordered some lanyards, but they never turned up.
I know that you can purchase one very cheaply (I will be doing that), but the point is that I think these companies have had there positive PR and are no longer bothering with supporting people like us.
Has anyone managed to get a free lanyard recently?
