I did that as a kid, other than the first one i lost, the moment they started even slightly wobbling I would work them until I pulled them out. Usually within one or two days. Although in hindsight it might not have been the best behaviour, it worked quite well for me at the time and it doesn't appear to have caused any long term issues. Talk to your dentist to see their concerns and if he continues with his big teeth that is probably more of a problem but if it's just little teeth surely it shouldn't be too disastrous.
Aaarghg!
Stop with the wobbling pulling of teeth posts!! Eeegh!! How can you people talk about this??
It sets my teeth (what ones remain) on edge...
(I don't, of course, really want people to stop talking about a subject they find interesting, we have enough censorship already in the world), But my goodness people, just. Urrgh!
My daughter is the same, she's 10. She had a slight movement of a so called wobbly tooth, then she decided to just rip it out of her mouth. Blood everywhere and you could hear the sound of the gum and nerves being pulled. She has regular hospital dentist checks that come back with perfect teeth. Only issue is that she pulls them out when not ready and her hemangioma (birth mark in her mouth) makes her mouth numb basically so any pain she doesnt feel. She doesn't get to leave them alone and the dentist doesn't help by saying she has perfect teeth. If you find anything to help, let me no.
Hi, my son is 6 with Autism and development delay. He has started really pulling at this teeth (permanent ones) im struggling to stop him and i am worried he will have no teeth left. Is there any one else having this problem, if so what are you doing to prevent this. Please Help. Thank you
My little girl has recently lost 3 teeth she pulled two out that had just started to wobble and the 3rd one got knocked out after banging her face into a cupboard. What worries me is the fact that after she banged her face she couldn't stop laughing she thought it was great the blood pouring out of her mouth didn't bother her either. She also never cries when she falls over.
Hi - unless he's hurting himself when pulling his milk teeth, then I wouldn't worry. I remember a teacher telling me my son had dropped something on the floor + that it was a milk tooth. I think he had a habit of just disposing of them as the need arose. We had no problems at all. bw
Hi there,
i would phone his dentist and ask them, i know my son is losing his milk teeth he wiggles them back and forth alot, our dentist encouraged this to loosen them for the new teeth underneath. Surely he could not pull them out if they were not ready? in which case no problem, phone your dentist for advice.
good luck
