Aspie Women (and guest visitors)

This is obviously a conversation that isn't worn out. Personally I'm quite convinced that menopause is what has tipped me over the edge and made my thinking and behaviour recognisably autistic and ADHD-istic.

It's still a hammer blow but it feels like there's a chance of being kinder to myself in the future. Maybe we are the research...

I agree that the traits have always been there but they were so well masked that they weren't visible to me.  The last few months have been like peeling an onion always finding another layer of complexity and I still find it quite mind blowing that I never realised all of these obvious things about myself.

Hi Misfit, I thought it was my phone/computer playing up yesterday as I just kept getting error messages, from your comment and the lack of activity I guess the forum was down.  Glad you made it through the weekend and hope you are feeling a little better. x

It would indeed identify me Missy, well sleuthed. I would hate to shove my work in peoples faces on here but I also find it hard to get an image on here.  I managed a few but the joy of Instagram is take photo with phone and post it, idiot proof.

At the point where I have to upload it to a computer and resize it I'm off pretty much.

Wouldn't that identify Spotty? Maybe Spotty you would let us see more of your work on here? Not too late re expo but understand. One day will try this out on my laptop to see what you've been telling me!

I find it much easier to see what is where on my laptop or PC but you seem to manage pretty well.

A good thought, just me and pc's and filing and ever finding anything again are not compatible. That probably wouldn't apply to your idea if I understood it!

missy good to hear improvement and you need not apologise for not joining in,if however our ramblings gave you tiny bit of a lift then I am happy.oh Ellie pipped me at the post,spotty that is quite a turn around and from a day or two  ago,take it steady but great to hear.(trying not to sound patronising) awe stuff it! Well done you go girl amazing.

Did you sign up to the adhd expo so far the 15min talks have been very practical and would recommend them. 

I don't like it much either! Got loads of "housekeeping " to do on all devices. 

I do find it quite difficult to orientate at times but phone easier than carrying my laptop about ( almost redundant!). Is it really much better on a laptop or pc? Perhaps I should have a look. Gladour wrist is getting better.Wow! Well done. Instant response which is good and another well done for replying even though it made you anxious. Glad your Sunday lunch visit went well too very positivweekend!

I don't know how you keep up with any of this just on a phone Missy, I'm on mine now and it's really hard to find anything and orientate yourself.

My wrist is a lot better at the moment thank you, hopefully I won't do anything to make it worse again.

I stepped back toward the real world on Saturday and posted some work on Instagram for the first time in months, it quickly resulted in 40 odd comments to answer individually, which was the origial cause of trouble. I managed though and it only made me shake a bit! 

Visited my Mum and Step Dad yesterday for roast dinner and it was enjoyable more than stressful which is a result.
