18_09_17.....For those that have lost the thread....mis-wired ramblings....short circuit!

I went and did my deceased persons garden, including mowing the lawn which nearly did for me as it's quite big and he has a hideous big heavy (doesn't) hover mower. Now I'm going to practice my bass, later than usual as OH is on night shifts which always leaves me out of step with myself.

is there anything I can do to help...sorry for getting through my day...don't ever thing that I have it all Sussex. From 16 years teaching I have built myself a teflon coated shell...I am built like a Russian Doll. , but *** scared and a mess at my centre,,,and it is not far down to get to that xx 

You don't have anything to be sorry for. Sussex? I presume you mean sussed? I don't assume anyone on here has things sussed!  OH works 12 hour shifts, nights and days in blocks of three or four usually, there's a sort of pattern but it is over such a long period it isn't discernible to me.  There really is no routine here, just randomness and I really don't think it helps me, not much to be done about it though.

Now that's better,one thing we are great at is assuming things that aren't necessarily what we think they are.

Ellie you have concentrated hours at work full of people on all sides either colleagues or students and you have lessons to prepare and teach that uses up lotsvof spoons. When you come home you want to relax but presumably you have things you have to to there too and that uses lots of spoons too  So it's ok to come here to chatter to other people who found their day hard work as well and it's also ok if they can't join in all the time somebof the time is fine  That you still have a sense of humour to help keep yourself and us going is quite something. So don't worry if we haven't got that stamina or don't feel jokey every day. Why would the mods mind that we are looking after one another ? There are plenty of threads to join in or start if this one doesn't suit them.. something for everyone I hope.  Take care Ellie Spotty and Lone and hope Toms week is going ok. 

Helps me to feel I am not alone too. And you do help just by being here.  We all contribute in our different ways. 

Ellie you can't fall as I have a firm grip on you,Honestly you do a damn good job of helping us out,don't turn that into"everyone's counting on me" as we aren't counting on you. You do this for your reasons,we happen to find it all so very reassuring and fun,we are integrating nicely thanks. Got to go pick up wife,I am coming back.xxxxxxx

Plus there are all sorts of serious topics going on about specific things. We wouldn't chat on this one if we didn't want to. Maybe it is selfish but I need this more general chatter, serious, fun, poetry, teasing etc sometimes I don't speak to anyone all day and certainly not to people who understand. It's ok to dip in and dip out sometimes more able to join in than at others. We're all needed. The cascading posts are quite tricky but all the other posts have that too it's just these get quite long.
