Given the lengthy trial of Lucy Letby and the number of crimes she was accused of committing, can we really take seriously the claims, even from experts in the field, that there is simply no evidence Lucy committed any crimes?

Dear all,
I would like to remind you of Rule 7: Be respectful in discussions. Disagreements are fine, but personal attacks, insults, and swearing are not. Respect other viewpoints and avoid escalating arguments.
This is a very sensitive topic and it is important to be respectful of everyone.
Best wishes,
Alice Mod
This is very true
If curds are allowed then I’ll have cherry curd as my second favourite.
You don’t like lemon curd? It’s great on really fresh crusty bread
1. Raspberry 2. Lemon curd
Lovely.
If Marmalade came under the heading of jam I would have orange marmalade as my number two but i think it would be disqualified so I’ll have to keep thinking….
Those are two quite unusual jams I would say.
Knowing leveller61 I suspect that he makes his own jam.

I once had a very unique rose petal jam in a posh tea shop - that would be my number 1. I’m not sure about number 2.
#1 Victoria Plum
#2 Bilberry
Quite depressing
Indeed and I am concerned that members will quietly slip away.
Do we really want this forum to discuss nothing more controversial than what everyone’s favourite jam (or even their second favourite jam) is?
Sighs ...
I don’t think I’ve said that other people aren’t entitled to their opinions or that they shouldn’t be able to discuss things. I just said that I find this particular subject upsetting and that I don’t think it appropriate for this forum.
I’m allowed to have my opinion, just as other people are allowed to disagree with me. That doesn’t mean I’m trying to stop anyone else having their say.
I’m not looking to argue about it. Not every disagreement needs to become a conversation
Surprised to encounter this thread on here, rather than in one of the tabloid newspapers. Seems rather off topic for an autism community website... so I am not touching it. I support comments by B below.
This reminds me of when people complain about certain TV programs they don’t approve of. They don’t have to watch them, yet they also don’t want anyone else to watch them either. There are many things I disapprove of in society, but I don’t expect to dictate how others behave just because I don’t agree with them. Do we really want this forum to discuss nothing more controversial than what everyone’s favourite jam (or even their second favourite jam) is?
May I respectfully suggest that if some people are genuinely upset by some of the topics under discussion why not simply ignore them? I'm not sure it fair for one or two individuals to stop others right to free speech.
Are you really sure that 'free speech' without thought to the feelings of others is applicable on this forum?
