Just wondering how other people stay mentally active?
Some things I do are reading and wordsearches but would be interested to see what others do

I’m a life long learner of the Italian language. The process of constructing a sentence in a foreign language helps the brain make new connections.
I used to play tennis and would like to get back to it. The hand-eye coordination helps maintain brain performance. My balance and coordination are awful and I was never brilliant at tennis, but I enjoy it.
Table tennis, padel, pickle ball, badminton and others are alternatives for keeping the brain active.
Volunteering.
I used to play tennis when I was primary aged then a little into teen years
I can play the viola (stringed instrument) although I'm not as good as I used to be (which doesn't matter as it's about having fun now!) - I should really play it more regularly

Thanks. I wasn’t particularly proficient at it or a good student, but it would have been nice to dabble.
Sorry to hear you can't play the violin anymore
I have heard that playing a musical instrument is another thing that can help build new brain connections and maintain mental activity.
I used to play the violin but following an injury, it is no longer comfortable to play.
