Hey all, hope you're well
I've been recently diagnosed with Autism but have been suffering with anxiety for years (we believe this to be all linked)
I currently work as a customer service agent for a bank. Ever since I joined 3 years ago I've always really struggled with calls to the point where I've had to take time off sick due to this. I really struggle with dealing with conflict. If someone starts shouting at me, I start to cry even if I know I'm not in the wrong
Work is currently going really downhill to the point where they're not really caring about CS agents. They're chucking in so much extra stuff for us to do and remember alongside having to keep up with stats etc. I'm really struggling with this, and I'm finding my mental health is getting worse and worse. I was getting heart palpitations and my doctor told me to just look for a new job!
I want to quit but I cannot seem to find any job roles that would be suitable for me as I don't think I'd be able to handle large amounts of customer contact (face to face or on calls)
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for jobs that have helped or are good for autistic individuals, as I'm just sitting panicking
