The saga continues.

"BBCode" - Bulletin Board Code;
(used for formatting the layout of posts on portals such as our forum ...more secure than allowing people to use HTML to execute JavaScript object-oriented computer programming language to achieve interactive effects, such as animation, in their posts ...which may break the forum layout):
"BBCode is short for Bulletin Board Code.
It is used as a way for formatting posts made on message boards, blogs and more.
It is similar to HTML in the sense that in BBCode one does also use tags to format something specific (contained within the tag).
In BBCode tags are indicated by rectangular brackets surrounding a keyword, which is in turn transformed into HTML before being delivered to a web browser.
Since its creation, BBCode has been used in many different portals.
Any developer can implement it for free and anyone can use it.
Before BBCode forums sometimes allowed users to include HTML code in their posts, which had many security issues (i.e. the user could execute javascript code, break the layout of the site and so on).
With BBCode being parsed by the forum scripts it is easier to control what the user can do and cannot do (allowing or not allowing specific BBCode tags)."
Myself, and hundreds of other (more usefulful) artists have been driven away [or have chosen to drift away] from this place ... because NO ONE LISTENS to fair, honest, kindly, well-meaning, reasonable and empirical evidence of failures here.
Perhaps now is a good time to try to reiterate the need for a "management" refocus on the needs of actual autistic people?
The Creative Space thread is no longer working - you can post on it but it doesn't come back up to the top of the 'home' page.
As this is the second iteration of this thread (the original having been deleted in a software update) it would be/is a great shame to lose it.
RE: The new Forum Creative Space
I'm thinking that it's related to images being uploaded to it although the way the fault manifests itself is different from most of the others which do come back up to the home page but then just hang.
Thanks Cinnabar_wing for pointing this out here:
Hi all
I have an update on this issue. The platform provider has confirmed that the issue is caused by a BBCode bug. This allows you to do simple formatting or add links without affecting the underlying page code. It normally has a built‑in failsafe to stop anything from breaking the page, but the bug prevents that failsafe from working, which is why some posts are currently hiding responses.
They are working on a fix that will be included in their next service release pack, but there is no ETA yet.
We can delete the posts containing the BBCode causing the problem, but this would permanently remove all related data. The alternative is to wait for the fix so nothing is lost, though we do not know when it will be released.
Thanks for your patience while we work with the provider.

I still can't get "the weather" thread either although it shows as being added too an hour ago.
I don't understand why this whole issue has yet to be sorted out, it's been going on for months, if it's known what causes it, then why are we not advised of what not to do?
To the mods, I sent a test message on The Weather, which I could see after I entered it, but when I returned it had gone.
I wonder if anyone else has a comment regarding weather, if they would like to start a new thread where hopefully we can all see their comments.
So now I am even more confused, because after getting a notification yesterday that someone added to the Weather thread and I couldn't see it due to the orange band, I have a notification that a different person added to the thread today, yet I am still getting the same issue. It therefore seems that this issue is not affecting everyone.
I think it's if you quote and attach an image, that definitely breaks it then, I think. There maybe be other methods, but that one is guaranteed.
Yes. I remember your test:

Thanks B for letting us know. I'm sorry about these forum errors. It's helpful to have this concise list of problem threads and I'll pass these on to the tech team now.
All the best,
